Veterinarian Overview
I am a native of central Louisianna. I was a chemist for 10 years and at the age of 34 went back to veterinary school. I graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine and then practiced small animal and emergency medicine in Lafayette, LA for 3 years before moving to Arkansas!I have 14 dogs & 5 cats (all rescues), so I don't have much free time to enjoy camping, fishing, now skiing, and flying planes, though I try when I can. I enjoy working with the Humane Societies of Pulaski & Saline Counties and with the Animal rescue group CARE. I am interested in wildlife medicine & rehabilitation and have raised dozens of birds, opossums, squirrels and raccoons.Dr. Bob Hale and I opened Chenal Valley Animal Hospital in August 2004. I believe in practicing the very best medicine and surgery, and am happy to refer my patients to specialists when necessary.I feel so lucky to look forward to each day at work. I have the most rewarding career, and can not imagine having more fun than practicing veterinary medicine.NOTE: Dr Kim sees patients Tuesday thru Friday and every other Saturday.
