Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Overton pictured with her Yorkshire Terrier Mia. Dr. Overton joined Maumelle Animal Clinic in 2007 after graduating from Louisiana State University in 2007. Prior to entering veterinary school, Dr. Overton grew up in central Arkansas and attended Arkansas State University at Jonesboro for her undergraduate studies. She started as an animal caretaker and veterinary nurse at Bellevue Animal Clinic after graduating high school and worked through college. Dr. Overton is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Arkansas Veterinary Medical Association, and serves on the Arkansas Veterinary Foundation. She enjoys all aspects of small animalmedicinebutemphasizes in internal medicinDr. Overton is married to her husband Russell. They have twin boys, Connor and William and also have two step children, Emily and Alex with her husband. They also have two other "children" which include: Mia, a Yorkshire Terrier; and Sushi, a black shorthaired cat. Outside of the clinic she enjoys spending time with her family and outdoor activities including camping and kayaking.
