Latest Reviews for Heather Hilvert
I met Dr. Hilvert to trim my macaw's nails and she was awesome! She introduced herself and talked to me like she knew me. She took excellent care of Alice and brought her out all snuggled up in a towel. She showed me a couple of things regarding Alice's anatomy, so she obviously gave her the once over and didn't just trim her nails. She was very reasonably priced and even commented on Alice's droppings as exactly what she likes to see. I consider Dr. Hilvert, Alice's vet! ♥
Heather is an avian specialist and the veterinarian for AR Parrot Rescue/Akademe Sanctuary. She's awesome which keeps her very busy. She also sees mammals, does surgeries and provides services a lot of the clinics don't, like allergy testing and deworming shots.

dogs.
I have a two year old budgie, that I purchased at Petco, who has developed
Polyurea.
About two weeks ago he started holding his wings slightly away from his body and
vibrating them about the same time he developed watery urea with solid stool.
The only stress in his life is the leg band that bothers him periodically and
the current lack of "pretty birds" in the backyard around the feeder.
He is still eating well; Vitaseed and Zupreem Smart Selects. He will only eat a
little paper thin slice of carrot when hand fed. He hates, apples, bananas,
grapes, celery, raisons and lettuce.
He is still relatively active and chatters, sings and calls the flock and flies
between his cage and his stand next to the window.
I've been treating him with Apple Cider Vinegar and human pro-biotics in his
water since I originally thought he had diarrhea.
I fear he has renal tumors, but if he has a treatable infection I was wondering
what you would suggest and how much treatment would cost ?
This email was also sent to your @yahoo.com address, but I'm not sure it's still any good.
Sincerely,
Mark Adams
DR. Hilvert is wonderful. She met with my dog and I on a Sunday when I couldn't find another vet. She took a significant amount of time to examine my dog, listen to the issues at hand and answer questions. While she is an hour from where I live, it is worth the drive. I recommend Dr Hilvert to anyone looking for an attentive and knowledgeable vet.
