Dr Harry Abair didn’t even perform a physical exam on my dog. She came back with bloodwork before a routine dental that showed she had low platelets, low red blood cells and elevated white blood cells. He sent lab work out to test for valley fever and Coombs. When labs came back negative two days later, he put her on prednisone and multivitamin and scheduled a recheck a week out. All of this information was relayed via vet tech (he never called us once to tell us ANY results, treatment plans, or explanations of what was going on). My dog started eliminating both digested and fresh blood via diarrhea. When we called to notify of the clinic of this update, we were advised to stop prednisone and come pick up two broad spectrum antibiotics. There was no concern to bring my dog in sooner than her scheduled recheck. We took her to a new vet the next day and IMMEDIATELY upon palpating her abdomen she felt a massive tumor (she suggested the size of a grapefruit). She confirmed this finding via ultrasound and that my dog had blood all throughout her abdomen and suggested that a euthanasia was the kindest way to go about the issue. My dog is now dead, less than a week after her original dental appointment with Dr Abair. I didn’t get to say goodbye because I live in another state... and she would have died a slow, scary, and painful death had we not sought for a second opinion. Shameful practice. Do not take your pets where Dr. Abair is working.

WHEN WE 1ST MET DR ABAIR OUR GERMAN SHEPHERD HAD A NOSE BLEED HE CAME RUNNING INTO THE EXAM ROOM ONTO HIS KNEES TO BE EYE LEVEL WITH OUR TASHIA. WHEN ALL OTHER VETS WERE TELLING US TO PUT HER DOWN HE WAS TELLING US WHAT WAS WRONG AND CAME UP WITHA TREATMENT PLAN AND GAVE US 2 MORE YEARS WITH OUR PRECIOUS FAMILY MEMBER
