Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Stephanie Howton, an Arizona native, has been with Companion since 2014, working alongside Dr.Lon Miyahira prior to his move. Stephanie received her Bachelors Degree from Arizona State University; graduated summa cum laude and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She pursued her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University, with a specific focus on exotic animal medicine, and graduated in 2010. Dr. Howton is a member of the Association of Feline Practitioners and was instrumental in attaining the designation of Cat Friendly Practice for Companion Pet Clinic. In addition to her admiration for exotics, Dr. Howtons interests are geriatric care, preventative medicine, feline medicine and pain management.In her free time she enjoys photographing wildlife, especially reptiles. Dr. Stephanie and her husband, a veterinary technician, are parents to two young boys, cats, dogs, snakes, and one tortoise.
