I run a small 501(c)3 OTTB rescue and Dr Meyer/Desert Mountain Equine is our primary vet, and we are so incredibly fortunate to have found him years ago when he first opened in QC. He's incredibly knowledgeable, patient, responsive, listens, and thoroughly explains everything. We can also trust him to be honest with us regarding any concerns we might have of our horses. We often have odd situations and very rarely is it something that he hasn't seen and have experience with. The few times we threw a curveball at him, he took the time to reach out to clinics and vets around the country who might have an answer of what was going on and the best way to proceed. The staff is friendly and it's a pleasure working with them. Even when we have to make the really tough decisions, we feel like we have the entire clinic behind us and supporting us.

Highly recommend Dr. Scott Meyer. Very knowledgeable and understanding of the costs we horse athlete owners incurr. His background and training make his diagnostics and intuition right on. Rosa stays on top of the records and keeps us informed for the aftercare. Great team!

My husband Shawn and I value and respect Dr. Meyer's knowledge and expert care of horses , so much so that even after we moved an hour and half away to Wittmann,AZ. we haul our horses to him. He does a full assessment, with a detailed explanation, all your questions answered. He usually has a couple of ways to tackle the situation and definitely considers your cost without jeopardize the quality of care for your horse. We feel very blessed to have him and hope he doesn't ever move or our travel time will be even greater. In the end, we have full confidence in Dr. Scott Meyer and also in his Associate Rosa and have highly recommended him as an equine vet..
