Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Jay Jang grew up in Chicago suburbs and attended University of Illinois for undergraduate as well as veterinary school. After 8 long years at the school, he graduated in 1996 and moved out to our sunny state of southern California. He immediately went to work in a high volume 7 doctor practice in Whittier where he fine tuned his medical and surgical skills. After seven years there, Dr. Jang decided to take on the new challenge of being his own boss. He acquired Sunrise Pet Hospital in 2003 and has since greatly enjoyed being the neighborhood veterinarian. As part of his services to the community, he helps with Greyhound, German Shepherd, and Boxer rescue organizations as well as hosting his own cat adoption center at his practice. When off of work, Dr. Jang is enthusiastically greeted at home by his lovely wife and his 3 little boys. They are currently in the process of finding some hypoallergenic furry family members for his allergic kids. He is also a sports enthusiast and serves actively in his community church.
