Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Jennifer Martin attended the University of California at Davis for both her undergraduate studies and veterinary school. Her interests within veterinary medicine include geriatric care, hospice, and preventative medicine. Her current passion is Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM). Certified in 2014 as a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, she is currently studying Chinese herbal medicine as well and is actively incorporating these practices into daily patient care for interested clients. She has made frequent trips to the Chi Institute in Florida to study TCVM over the last 2 years, and has spent countless hours online and in study at home as well. She enjoys getting to know her patients and clients and seeing the different ways the human-animal bond affects peoples' lives. Her hero and inspiration is Dr. James Herriot for the kindness and compassion he showed his patients. Her practice name was inspired by the title of one of his books, All Things Wise and Wonderful. For Dr. Martin, the animals we share our lives with are both wise and wonderful and have much to teach us about unconditional love and living life to the fullest. Dr. Martin shares her life with her husband Francis, and their children Michael, 13, Marlena, 16, Julien 17, Guillaume 19, and Claire 21. They have a black lab named Bella, a terrier mix named Felix, a cat named Joey, a recently rescued hospice kitty named Maureen ("MoMo") who is 23! And a rescued house bunny, affectionately known as Bun Bun.
