Veterinarian Overview
Veterinary medicine has been an integral part of my life for over 45 years. I aspired to be a veterinarian at a very young age and began my pursuit by volunteering at a local veterinary hospital in my hometown of Pittsburg, California.I am a graduate of the U.C. Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, class of 1979. I also have an undergraduate B.S. Degree in Zoology from U.C. Davis and hold a Masters Degree in Public Health from U.C. Berkeley. In 2008, I was invited back to the U.C. Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital to do a fellowship in Small Animal Abdominal Ultrasound. My wife, Marguerite, and I came to Benicia in 1979 where I started my career and we raised our two children, Scott and Joanie. Marguerite has been a school teacher here for 29 years.I have been providing veterinary care to animals in Solano and Contra Costa Counties for over 30 years. In 1992, I made the decision to commit all of my professional efforts to the care of the most revered animal species of all times, the Cat. I became part of a subculture of my Professional Peers committed to raising the standards of veterinary care for cats, and founded Benicia Cat Clinic. My outside interests include being a papa to my granddaughter, Morgan Elizabeth, and training for triathlons.
