Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Bonadio grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan although her family currently resides in San Diego. She started riding horses at an early age and carried this love with her through college in Ohio, where she earned a degree in Chemistry. While horseback riding remains her passion, Dr. Bonadio quickly realized that a career in small animal medicine was something worth pursuing, and enrolled at UC Davis, earning her veterinary degree in 2010. After graduation, she completed two private practice internships before heading back to UC Davis for a three-year residency program in internal medicine, which finished this year. She is thrilled to take the next step in her career by joining the PETS team. Endocrinology is a favorite part of Internal Medicine for Dr. Bonadio. She also enjoys management of chronic disease and geriatric medicine. Scoping procedures and minimally invasive medicine are also areas of interest. In her free time, Dr. Bonadio most enjoys being outdoors riding, hiking, camping, or being on the beach. This time is most often spent with her boyfriend, Jason, her rambunctious puppy Zach and his sister, Olive. There is a kitty at home, Allie, who keeps everyone in line.
