Veterinarian Overview
Born and raised in North Carolina and New Jersey, Dr. Schermerhorn first completed his bachelors in Animal Science at Rutgers University, and then attended The Ohio State University to complete his veterinary education. After graduating in 2017, he practiced as a mobile veterinarian focusing on end-of-life care and then transitioned to general practice. A California transplant, Dr. Schermerhorn enjoys the variety that Southern California offers in terms of scenery, food, culture, and people! He enjoys cooking, calligraphy, classical music, and spending time with his cat, Hermione. He is thrilled to join the team at VCA Burbank, and looks forward to meeting you and your furry family members!
