Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Casey grew up in Carlsbad where she spent all her free time riding and taking care of horses. She attended UC Davis for undergraduate and veterinary school. She graduated veterinary school in 2009 with Phi Zeta Honors and received the CVMA award for practice excellence. After graduation she completed a rigorous internship at Pioneer Equine Hospital in Oakdale. For the past 5 years she has also practiced in Sonora where she was credited with bringing high quality equine services to previously under-served areas, serving a call radius of 80 miles. While there she treated many species besides horses and while she has enjoyed the equine work, she has been primarily practicing with dogs and cats for the past 3 years and is looking forward to focusing solely on these species. She is the daughter of an OB/GYN and a high school science teacher.
