Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Ginny Bischel was born and raised in San Diego, California. Dr. Bischel graduated in 1980 from the University of Mexico in Mexico City with a degree in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry. After moving back to California, she attended U.C. Davis and then worked for the Department of Animal Control in Bonita. In 1989, Dr. Bischel opened the Otay Lakes Veterinary Clinic in Chula Vista. Then in 1997, she opened Eastlakes pioneer animal hospital: Eastlake Village Veterinary Clinic, where she currently practices as the chief veterinarian. Dr. Bischel is actively involved in non-profit veterinary work, both locally and internationally. She conducts public awareness campaigns on responsible pet ownership and assists animal shelters and rescue organizations with low cost medical services. She is also the co-founder and president of the non-profit organization Veterinarians For World Animal Health Inc. Find out more about Dr. Bischels non-profit work.
