Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Broaddus' life long goal was following in his family footsteps of becoming a veterinarian was realized in 2006 when he graduated from the University of California, Davis veterinary school. Having been around a father and stepmother who are both veterinarians, he has had the opportunity to care for a number of special animals including a California Harbor Seal and Tule Elk along with the "normal" pets such as miniature horse, potbellied pigs, cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rats, turtles, a pigmy goat, and numerous others throughout his life. These varied experiences led him to initially consider a career in zoo medicine, however the draw of family practice ultimately brought him to Mercy Pet Hospital. In his time away from the hospital, he enjoys spending time with his family including 2 young children, wife and pets which is currently a French Bull dog and 2 Maine Coon cats.
