Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Dave Chapman began his scientific career in the field of organic and medicinal chemistry. He received his PhD in chemistry from the University of Southern California, and spent several years involved with research in medicinal chemistry and molecular biology. In 1996 he returned to Washington State University, where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Chapman is a member of Southern California Veterinary Medical Association, and the California Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Chapman has interests in international veterinary and wildlife veterinary issues, and these interests led Dr. Chapman to spend time in Indonesia helping treat and sterilize the huge street dog population, as well as volunteering at a wildlife rehabilitation center in Costa Rica. He currently is a consulting veterinarian for the Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center of Huntington Beach. Dr. Chapman also traveled extensively in Southern Nepal collecting data on venomous snakes and their impact on human and animal health.
