Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Girgis earned his veterinary degree from the university of Asyut in Egypt and immigrated to the United States in 1981. He worked at the University of Southern California in the research department for 12 years, where he focused on three major subjects: wound healing (helping diabetic people recover sooner), adhesion prevention (the #1 cause of infertility in women), and the creation of a very strong antibiotic.After receiving his California veterinary license in 1998, he worked for several veterinary clinics as a relief veterinarian. His credits also include two years with the City of Los Angeles animal shelter. In May 2004, he purchased Fox Hills Animal Hospital in Culver City, California.Dr. Girgis is a proud pet owner who loves animals. He has a black cat named Xena, a grey and white cat named Nala, and two Maltese puppies named Mido and Minna.
