Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Shei-Wen Benjamin Lee graduated from the National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan in 1979 with his degree in Veterinary Medicine. He continued his education here in the United States at Auburn University. From 1982 until 1986 Dr. Lee pursued his masters degree in small animal surgery at Auburn University. Then from 1987 until 1988 he was working on his post doctoral training at UAB Medical Center in Alabama. In 1989 he purchased Elwood Animal Clinic where he has been practicing veterinary medicine ever since. Dr. Lees strong interest in small animal surgery, including orthopedic surgery, led him to be in the position to have performed the first total hip replacement surgery on a canine in both Taiwan and China where he frequently returns to teach and work with other veterinarians. His other hospitals include, El Monte Dog and Cat Hospital in El Monte, California, Elwood Animal Clinic, USA, in Taipei, Taiwan, and Elwood Pethome Animal Medical Center in Macau, China.
