Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Anderson owned and operated a small animal hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado for 19 years before selling it in order to relocate to California, the native state of his wife, and to ease back from a single-doctor practice. He has worked the past decade in the Sacramento area and has special interests in dentistry and internal medicine. Dr Anderson is licensed in two states-California and Colorado and is a member of the American Veterinary Dental Society. He is also past president of the Grand Valley Veterinary Medical Society. He served on the executive board of the Sacramento Valley Veterinary Medical Society (SVVMA) for seven years, and served on the Charitable Foundation. He enjoys snow skiing, cycling and all outdoor activities, as well as spending time around the home with his family and their two Jack Russell terriers. Recently, he became a proud ?foster? owner to a cat named ?Zuma?. Zuma appears to be an absolutely pure grade alley cat, who was inherited from his son and daughter-in-law (their current housing doesn?t allow for ?alley cats?). Born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, Dr. Anderson graduated with a B.S. in biology from the University of New Mexico. He received his DVM degree from Washington State University.
