Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Bové has been with us since May 2014, as a part time associate veterinarian. She comes to us with 30 years of experience in the veterinary industry! Her experience is in small animal medicine, surgery, spay and neuter, shelter veterinarian for Petaluma Animal Shelter and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and Acupuncture. She obtained her BS, at Cornell University and her MS and DVM, at Louisiana State University and has received a certification in veterinary acupuncture (CVA) from Chi Institute. She is on the board for Forgotten Felines and has dedicated a great deal of her time to decrease the number of unwanted animals through spaying and neutering! Dr. Bové enjoys spending time riding her horse Lingot, more specifically 3 day eventing! She loves to go on walks and hikes with her canine companions, Marcello an Australian Shepherd and Buck, a Chihuahua (that was rescued from the Petaluma Shelter). When Dr. Bové is not reading a good book, she loves to go biking on her road bike! Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is doing surgery, because it is an immediate rewarding feeling to be able to restore an animal back to their original healthy and vibrant state! She also loves to watch the successes of integrating Eastern and Western medicine to yield a better outcome for patient care and client preferences.
