This vet has now moved to Gualala, CA. I took my 9 year old dog in for a teeth cleaning and to have a fox tail removed from her ear, both at his recommendation. Six weeks later she was dead. After the surgery she was confused, disoriented and seemed to be having hearing problems. The disorientation got worse. Within a week she was lethargic, wasn’t eating well and was drinking water excessively. I called him out of concern. I brought her to the office that day and he told me there was nothing wrong with her. The only question he asked me was, “Did she get in to marijuana?” NO. No blood work. Nothing done. 3 days later I called in a panic because she was much worse. They did 2 X-rays and blood work. The blood work showed GN, basically renal failure. She died 10 days later. From a healthy, rambunctious, loving dog to death in 39 days. I wouldn’t trust Carl Pfeil or his staff with a rock.
Never called with test results after 3 days i went to office i was told he was too busy that day to look at results, my cat was very sick with kidney problems 4 days now and he still hasn't called, he cut me off in mid sentence and said we would talk later
