Veterinarian Overview
Aaron McDonald was born and raised in a rural town in Massachusetts. After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, he worked for a year as a high school teacher followed by several years of work in biotechnology. He found that veterinary medicine was his passion during some volunteer experience at New England Aquarium and work as a veterinary technician. He attended and graduated from Tufts University-Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. McDonald then moved to southern California to participate in a medical and surgical internship at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital. The weather and lifestyle in Los Angeles were too good to resist; so he stayed and worked in emergency medicine for over 3 years. Dr. McDonald is now happy to bring his veterinary knowledge and skills to Hermosa Animal Hospital.
