Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Jennifer O'Neill comes from a family of animal lovers. Her menagerie of pets growing up included various bird and reptile species, rabbits, fish, dogs and cats. She always loved taking care of them and nursing them back to health when they were sick, even as a young child. Her parents often took her to the San Diego Zoo and the Safari Park where she marveled at all of the incredible, and often times, rare and wild animals. ?Dr. O'Neill attended UC Riverside and attained her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences in 2006. During school, Dr. O'Neill observed burrowing owls for survey studies with one of her teaching assistants which only deepened her love for all animals, even the wild ones. After college, she decided to pursue her love of animals and worked as a veterinary technician for a few years before getting accepted to vet school. She graduated from Western University of Health Sciences in May of 2014. Her greatest interests are in surgery, internal medicine , ultrasound and giving the best care possible to your furry family member. Dr. O'Neill has an undeniable passion for veterinary healthcare. She says, "The best thing about Camino Pet Hospital is the obvious compassion that I see in our staff. I get to work with a team that shares my passion and that is everything to me." She went on to say that, "Everyone here always has the best interests of our patients in mind." ?Dr. O and her husband have four cats, one dog, two geckos, one corn snake, a parakeet and numerous saltwater fish. The newcomer in their house is a very special someone. Dr. O and her husband welcomed their son to the world in 2017. ?Now all of her free time is spent being a mom and she loves every minute.
