Veterinarian Overview

Dr. Alicia Michalak got her start in veterinary medicine by volunteering at small animal hospitals in her hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio. She continued to gain as much experience as possible while attending The Ohio State University for her undergraduate studies. She then got the opportunity to move to sunny California to receive her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences.Dr. Michalak completed a competitive one year rotating internship at Animal Specialty Group, where she gained invaluable skills in internal medicine, surgery, neurology, oncology, and emergency/critical care. From there, she worked with cats, dogs, and exotic species as a general practitioner in Orange County; while also operating as the medical director of an animal shelter. Her special interests include internal medicine and shelter medicine. She has a love for all animals, however she has a big, special place in her heart for her feline patients. She has two cats of her own, Moe and Heisman. Dr. Michalak lives in Redondo Beach, and in her free time enjoys biking, beach sports, and watching football.

I would like to speak with Dr. Alicia Michalah, We live in Costa Mesa CA and we have a kitten with FIP. US Davis, Dr. Peterson did clinical research and found a cure, but they will never make the cure available for vets to help people save their kittens and cats. We have been studying and researching this FIP for weeks now and have found a group on Facebook with a very high success rate, using injections (which is Dr. Petersons successful medicine) which I can explain to you on the phone how I actually obtained the medicine. You are a cat lover. Can you help us, we cannot (or haven’t been able to inject the medicine. I am actually looking for someone who could inject my kitten everyday for 12 weeks is the treatment. Can you help? I know this is a tricky subject but because you are a cat lover (as I am) I thought you might want to be involved with having an option for your patients. Please call or email (949) 500-5166
