Veterinarian Overview
The best part of Dr. Carr's job as an associate veterinarian is the satisfaction of seeing her patients respond to a treatment and the appreciation of their owners. During the course of her day Dr. Carr examines patients, listens to client's concerns about their pets, administers vaccinations, evaluates x-rays, reviews blood work, and performs surgeries. Dr. Carr joined Madera Veterinary Center in 2002 and has helped hundreds of pets live long and healthy lives. Growing up on a dairy farm in Chino California, Dr. Carr has always had an interest in working with animals and has very fond memories of growing up on a farm. After completing her undergraduate studies at Cal Poly Pomona with a BS in Animal Science and a minor in Chemistry Dr. Carr graduated from THE Ohio State University Veterinary College in 1996. In 1998 Dr. Carr moved to Madera when her family owned farm relocated to the area. Dr. Carr stays active outside of work with her husband, three teenage boys, and soon to be teen daughter and all of their school and sports activities. Her furry family includes: KC and 8 year old beagle, Harley a 3 year old Dobie mix, and their newest addition Hank a 5 month old Dobie. In her free time Dr. Carr enjoys playing the piano and drawing and being involved in her kids school.
