Veterinarian Overview
My interest in veterinary medicine stems from my fondest childhood memories, when my parents moved to a small farm in Idaho. It wasnt a large piece of land, but it was one that required patience and hard work. Even though I was young, I was old enough to help Dad with the field plowing and chores with the animals. We had horses and cattle, dogs, cats and chickens. I participated in 4-H, and raised steers for sale in that program. I attended the University of Idaho and earned my B.S. in Zoology. I then transferred to Washington State University where I earned my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1971. After graduating, I came to Modesto to work at Modesto Veterinary Hospital. I met my wife Linda here, and we have raised our family in Modesto since that time. I am a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, California Veterinary Medical Association and the Northern San Joaquin Veterinary Medical Association. I am on the Board of the Veterinary Emergency Clinic Inc., and a past member of the UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital External Advisory Board.
