Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Maryssa McKinley earned her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from New York University before pursuing her doctorate at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduation, she completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital at Purdue University. Maryssa then moved west to California. She completed two years in an Oncology residency and passed the ACVIM General Examination before pursuing a career in general practice. She practiced in San Jose for several years before joining the team at South County Animal Hospital. Maryssa currently lives in south San Jose with her husband and their two dogs and two cats. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, cooking, theater, and playing the piano.
