Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Michael Whalen is from Thousand Oaks, CA and developed his love of animals at an early age, declaring he would become a veterinarian in 6th grade! He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in both Biology and Business from UC San Diego and earned his DVM from UC Davis. He is especially interested in small animal surgery, neurology, and preventative medicine. Dr. Whalen lives in Santa Monica with his wife Lauren and their two pugs, Bugsy and Dolly. As a native Californian, his favorite sports teams include the Dodgers and the Lakers. Apart from veterinary medicine, his passions include fitness, woodworking, and spending time with his friends and family.
