Veterinarian Overview
Originally born and raised in Taiwan, Dr. Wu came to the United States when she was in middle school. She has always been an animal lover since she was little. After spending two years volunteering with local animal shelters and clinics in high school, she decided to pursue the career of a veterinarian. In 2009, Dr. Wu completed her undergraduate studies in biochemistry at the University of California, Los Angeles. After graduating, she stayed in the Los Angeles area and spent a year working at Clinico (now the Spay and Neuter Project of LA) before entering the Western University of Health Sciences to further her veterinary experiences and education. After obtaining her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine Degree, Dr. Wu spent nine months working at the Pico Rivera Animal Hospital as an associate veterinarian, where she gained more experiences in managing advanced internal medicine cases and performing various surgeries. Dr. Wu has special professional interests in small animal internal medicine, preventive medicine, and ophthalmology. She is also a proud member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). Dr. Wus hobbies include swimming and playing erhu (a 2-stringed Chinese musical instrument similar to violin). Being fluent in both Chinese and English, Dr. Wu also enjoys reading and writing in both languages.
