Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Sofia Padilla was born and raised in Escondido, CA. She began her career in the veterinary field 14 years ago as a veterinary assistant. She recognized her passion for veterinary medicine and committed herself to becoming a veterinarian. Dr. Padilla received her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture/Animal Science from New Mexico State University and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences. Her passion for holistic and integrative care began in veterinary school and translated into practice. She became Reiki I certified in 2009, and is currently enrolled in the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society's Certification Course in Basic Veterinary Acupuncture. Dr. Padilla is looking forward to continuing her journey learning Eastern and Western medicine principles in order to maximize the well-being of her patients. Dr. Padilla and her husband live in San Diego with their four cats Rusty, Izzy, Rush and Fiona.
