Veterinarian Overview
Maria Terris grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and she has a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies, an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology, which certified her as a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2004, and she became a Certified Canine Massage Therapist in December 2013. She moved out to San Diego in 2006 and has worked in animal hospitals that gave her experience in general practice, emergencies and shelter medicine and surgeries. Maria feels that since animals cannot speak for themselves, it is our responsibility to take care of them and protect them. She has been a team member of Pet n' Vet since early 2013 and this has enhanced her passion for working with animals in their homes with their owners. Maria now specializes in canine massage, where she can truly help ease the pain of dogs. In her spare time, she does volunteer work with her dog Hoku for Paw'sitive Teams. Doing this she can share the joy she receives from him with others who cannot have a pet, or who are in the hospital. She loves traveling and experiencing a variety of cultures, enjoys hockey, rollerblading, cross stitching, and being outdoors with her husband and her three amazing dachshunds Hoku, Nena and Zellie
