Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Dowd earned her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of California at Davis in 1989. She earned her undergraduate degree in biological sciences at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. As the daughter of a naval officer, she lived in Florida, Virginia and California. Dr. Dowd knew at age 5 that she wanted to become a veterinarian. She is passionate about helping animals and humans, so she enjoys volunteering at endurance events as RaceGuards (First responders on coarse during endurance events) In her free time she enjoy running, with and without her two Standard Poodles Clifford & Walter. She also loves yoga, paddle boarding, baking and decorating cakes.
