Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Heather Burns, a Bay Area native, was born in Oakland and spent her time growing up in the East Bay. From a very young age, Heather dreamed of becoming a veterinarian and that dream came true when she was accepted to the Royal College of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh, Scotland. Heather graduated in 2005 and immediately commenced a one year internship at Animal Specialty and Emergency Center in West Los Angeles. After completing her internship, Heather has been working in both specialty emergency positions and general practice across California, as well as a stint practicing on the East Coast. In 2011 Heather returned home to the Bay Area and has been a resident of San Francisco, where she lives with her two cats and her French bulldog, Josephine.
