Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Geston has been a part of the ABC family since 2006 when she worked with us as an assistant/technician. She obtained her B.S. in Animal Sciences, pre-veterinary emphasis, at Cal Poly Pomona in 2006. In 2010 she left ABC to attend Ross University School of Veterinary medicine and complete her clinical training at Purdue University. She then returned to ABC in 2014 as an associate veterinarian. As a kid she was the typical horse crazy, stray dog saving, wild animal nursing future veterinarian and never wanted to be anything else. She enjoys all aspects of the profession; from advocating for the animals, to working with their humans, to teaching animal care and volunteering her knowledge and skills. When not in doctor-mode, Dr. Geston thrives by getting back to nature with activities like backpacking, camping, and hiking. She loves to eat good food and wine, dabble in photography and charcoal drawing and participate in renaissance faires. She is a volunteer with PoVa Therapeutic Riding center, a non-profit organization which provides horseback riding lessons to people with physical and developmental challenges. Her four-legged crew includes LouLou (a.k.a. Furface), a spunky terrier mix, and Boone Dog, a mixed breed ball-loving goofball whom she bottle fed from one day old. Over the years she has also had many pet rats.
