Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Laura Wagner has been a member of VCA San Mateo Animal Hospital since 2009. In the past, she had worked at an animal hospital in the East Bay and has done some relief work in San Francisco. The family atmosphere at VCA San Mateo Animal Hospital, the amazing staff, and the wonderful clients and patients bring her much joy. She belongs to various veterinary organizations, including the CVMA, the AVMA, and the RCVS. Dr. Laura Wagner, a native of San Francisco, attended St. Ignatius College Prep in the city, and then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. She graduated from the Royal Veterinary College at the University of London and received her degree in veterinary medicine in 2005. In her spare time Dr. Laura loves to be in the outdoors: hiking, camping, tennis, and racing and crashing RC cars with her husband are some of her favorite activities. By far, her best time spent is being with her little boy, who also has a zest for life and adventure! She loves rooting on the San Jose Sharks, and she is a Giants & 49er fan as well. She currently has two cats, Herc & Aloysius, and will likely be expanding her family soon to include a canine companion.
