Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Grant Patrick joined Montecito Veterinary Center as a staff member through the Work Experience Program at Montgomery High School in Santa Rosa; he "grew up" in the practice through high school. Upon graduation from the University of California at Davis in 1984, he joined the practice. He became the owner in 1987. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Redwood Empire Veterinary Medical Association (REVMA). Dr. Patrick is also a member of the Santa Rosa Junior College Curriculum Development and Advisory Committee for the Veterinary Technician Certification Program. Dr. Patrick has a special interest in wildlife and has been a strong supporter of Wildlife Fawn Rescue, and he also has given medical care to adult deer, squirrels, chipmunks, foxes, otters and mountain lions. He has provided community service by aiding feral/stray cat organizations such as Pets Lifeline, and by treating local school class room pets. Dr. Patrick was voted the Best Veterinarian in Sonoma County for 2012 - 2014 by the readers of The Press Democrat.
