Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Kristin Wallace loves living and working in beautiful Santa Cruz county. Kristin grew up in San Jose where she attended Presentation High School and was very involved in her local 4-H club. She returned to New Zealand, where her family was originally from, for her veterinary training. After graduating from Massey University's Institute of Veterinary, Animal, and Biomedical Sciences in 2004 Kristin decided that California was the ideal place to work as a large animal veterinarian. She practiced in Monterey County for a year, then moved to Santa Cruz and worked at Adobe Animal Hospital from 2006 to 2010. Kristin opened Granite Creek Veterinary Services in March 2010 in order to provide her clients with consistent high quality veterinary care for their large animals. On weekends Kristin enjoys spending time with her husband Dan mountain biking, hiking, and waterskiing. Their son Dashiell was born April 2010. The family also includes Oscar the Australian Shepherd who is the self-appointed guardian of the vet truck, and a small herd of alpacas.
