Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Jinyi Joo spent her childhood near Boston, Massachusetts. She received her Bachelor's degree from Colorado College, meanwhile taking the opportunity to explore the majestic Southwest and spending part of that time studying and traveling in southern Africa. She worked in behavioral research for the Caribbean Primate Research Center in Puerto Rico, where the fascination and reward of working with animals within the field of physiology led her to pursue a life in Veterinary Medicine. She received her DVM from Western University's College of Veterinary Medicine and now finds herself lucky enough to make it her profession to use the science and art of medicine and healing to help both companion animals and their community each day. Aside from her work she enjoys good stories and journeys, all things outdoors, and living within the diversity, creativity, and beauty of Oakland with her family- human Mundi, cat Zzyzxx ,and dogs Fuego, Wren, and Nabiya.
