Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Lamothe received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. Before joining Broad River Animal Hospital in 1994, she practiced in New York and Pennsylvania, and spent three years as a part-time emergency veterinarian. In 1999, Dr. Lamothe became a partner of Broad River Animal Hospital and owner in 2015. Dr. Lamothe's professional interests include soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, geriatric medicine, feline medicine and surgery, and ultrasound. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Fairfield County Veterinary Medical Association, Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, Association of Feline Practitioners and the Veterinary Managers Council of Connecticut. Dr. Lamothe has 2 & "3/4" rescued kitties: "Mama Mia", "Mad Max" and her 3-legged kitty "Nubbin' but Trouble" (aka "The Nubster"). "What I enjoy most about being a veterinarian is the long term bonds I have developed with both my clients and their pets. I deeply value the trust that has developed and it enables me to really partner with my clients in all aspects of their pet's health care."
