Veterinarian Overview
Dr Engel was raised in DeLand and attended High School in Cooper City Florida. He and his wife Georgeann have been married for 30 years and has three sons. He has lived in the Baldwin area for 26 years. Dr. Engel has been on numerous mission trips to remote areas of Honduras and Nicaragua has been a supporter of Christian Veterinary Mission. Dr Engel is a 1983 graduate of the University of Florida. He also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology from UF. Dr. Engel was a large animal practitioner, having a mobile farm call practice in the area starting in 1985 for about 10 years, when injuries began to take their toll on his ability to practice. Since 1993 Dr. Engel has owned and operated the small animal clinic. He has special interest in wound management and general surgery. Dr. Engel prefers a wholistic approach (different from holistic) in that the whole pet's life - nutritiion, activity, family etc. are all taken into account when diagnosing and treating. Dr. Engel strives to keep services financially within reach to working families as the cost of veterinary care continues to rise.
