Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Cintrón was born and raised on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. She completed a bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences and in Integrated Biology at the University of Florida in Gainesville. She also received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at UF. Her veterinary interests include dermatology, dentistry, and internal medicine. Her personal interests include salsa dancing, reading, and CHOCOLATE.Dr. Carmona and Dr. Cintron met in veterinary school and got married right after graduation. They are the parents of two dogs, Sebastian and Chispa, a cat, Calypso and a beautiful daughter, Gianna. During their years at UF, they volunteered with feral cat trap-neuter-release programs, fostered pets for adoption, and participated in several community service campaigns to help the pets of families in Ecuador, Mexico and Honduras. Currently, they are members in good standing with the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA)Dr. Carmona and Dr. Cintrón consult and work in conjunction with various specialists in the area to provide the best care possible for every pet's needs. They also strive to be better doctors by continuing their education through various conferences and seminars.
