Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Gita graduated third in her medical class with the distinction of magna cum laude. Dr. Gita earned her B.Sc. degree in 1984, M. Phil. in 1991, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. She pursued medical research in Molecular Genetics at Cornell University. Here at the Baker Institute, Dr. Gita had the honor of working with world renound professors in the veterinary medical field. She pursued studies in the U.K. at Cambridge University [Alma Mata of Rhodes Scholar President Clinton, and Chelsea Clinton], and the Agricultural Food and Research Council. Dr. Gita was the recipient of a grant form the Commonwealth Science Council, U.K. Most people and patients are comfortable with Dr Gitas skill, expertise and patience. She demonstrates a very caring and compassionate nature, and her examinations are thorough with explanations that are easy to understand. She has been practicing as a veterinarian for more than 20 years. She enjoys being a mother of two sons and continues to perform all the regular daily chores of a homemaker.
