Veterinarian Overview
General practitioner, Dr. Gary Edelson grew up in Holmdel, New Jersey. He completed his undergraduate degree at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Upon graduation, he attended veterinary school at St. Georges University, Grenada. In 2008, he completed his clinical year at University of Florida, School of Veterinary Medicine. During his veterinary education, the Pfizer Corporation recognized Dr. Edelson for his efforts in emergency medicine. Dr. Edelson has special interests in dentistry, diabetes, dermatology and ophthalmology. Dr. Edelson has also authored numerous articles on canine and feline diabetes. He has been practicing general medicine and worked with a board certified veterinary dentist and boarded canine/feline practitioner. Dr. Edelson is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Florida, Palm Beach and Broward County Veterinary Medical Associations. He is married to Liz Edelson and at home, they have a beautiful daughter, Sage and son Colton, plus two four-legged friends, Carib, a black lab and Soco, a yorkie. Dr. Edelson enjoys playing ice hockey and golf in his spare time in addition to practicing magic and scuba diving. Dr. Edelsons enjoyment comes from the surprises and challenges that arise each day. Whether he is educating clients and breeders, treating a medical problem or seeing the friendly faces of clients and pets, Dr. Edelson truly enjoys the practice of veterinary medicine and is looking forward to meeting you and your companion soon.
