Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Rigg received her BS in zoology from the U. of MD in 1986 and then after helping develop the first transgenic laboratory in the USA, achieved a DVM from the VMRCVM in 1991. In 1993 while working for the USDA she was given the certification of FAD(foreign animal disease diagnostician). Throughout her career in a wide variety of cases, she noticed normally accepted medicine and surgery commonly being insufficient for many animals. Since then she has pursued pathways that will enhance opportunities to offer more complete care. In 2009, she received her CCRT(certified canine rehabilitation therapist) from the CRI and continues finding pathways to make each patient happy and healthy. Dr. Rigg currently has a greyhound, a Bedlington terrier, a dynamic three-legged terrier mix, a kitten that is 15 years old and a fuzzy bunny to complete her household. In an attempt to stay centered her other pursuits are cycling, running, swimming and meditating.
