Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Richard Wigelsworth's practice revolves around his passion for preventive and wellness care of dogs and cats, or the occasional pocket pet. He started working as a veterinary technician while earning his undergraduate degree at the University of Central Florida. He then attended the University of Georgia Veterinary School, where he graduated in 1996. After practicing veterinary medicine for 12 years, he moved to Melbourne from Deltona in January 2008. He and his wife have shown and hunt-trained Standard Poodles, winning numerous AKC Show and Hunting Titles on many of their dogs. They currently live and enjoy the companionship of three. Dr. Wigelsworth and his son are active in Cub Scouts, and as a family they enjoy camping, fishing, and boating, and anything involving the outdoors or water.
