I lost my dog Clyde a year and a half after adoption from this shelter. That wasn't their fault, things happen as devastating as it was. A few weeks after losing my dog I went back to Pasco animal services and adopted another great dog. They neutered him the day before I picked him up. As we were leaving I asked of he had meds to come home with. Three people checked and said no. Within 2 days he started coughing so I called them and they finally said that he WAS supposed to go home with meds for an respiratory infection. So I drove another 20 miles each way to get his medicine. The last few days he's been scratching and licking his body but mostly around the area where they removed his testicles. He threw up 3 times in the middle of the night and he doesn't feel well. I also gave him a bath with special shampooer we use on our 18 year old pug who has bad allergies Hoping that would give him some relief. I called them this morning and expected them to tell me to bring him in. Guess what,, they only see and treat the dogs within SEVEN DAYS of adoption. We're going into our 3rd week. They won't see him and told me to see an Urgent care place. With my Clyde passing away from cancer among other things and having to put him down and have him cremated, and all the meds he was on, I'm broke. It's cost a few thousand dollars for him between everything. I just can not get over SEVEN DAYS. So I Should take him back and say "if you can't treat him I guess you want a sick dog back and drop him off. I can not do that. Does anyone have an opinion on this or am I crazy?
