Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Barbara Campos is Chilean born and raised but now calls Brickell her home. She graduated from the Mayor School of Veterinarian Medicine in Santiago, Chile in 2011 and soon after moved to the United States. In 2014, Dr. Campos joined Brickell Bay Animal Hospital as a veterinary nurse so that she could continue to provide the highest quality of veterinary care for the family pets in her new home area while preparing for the United States rigorous foreign veterinary testing program. For two years she was our hospitals anesthesia and surgical nurse while also completing the United States and State of Floridas Veterinary requirements.Dr. Campos understands how important pets are to their owners. She is passionate about offering the highest quality of medicine to all and enjoys utilizing her extensive training and well-rounded experience to discover the most effective way to treat her patients. Her vast veterinary experience includes completion of a resident program at the Santiago Zoo, as well as working at wildlife centers in both Boulder, Colorado and Cape Cod, Massachusetts. She enjoys building deep and lasting bonds with her patients and their owners and is excited to continue to forge new relationships with the wonderful families Brickell Bay Animal Hospital serves.In her free time Dr.Campos likes to travel with her husband to learn more about other countries and cultures, swimming, hiking, and spending time with her little poodle named Bellota. She also thoroughly enjoys living and working in Brickell and supporting the local businesses, events, and restaurants
