Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Sukhija is the owner and Medical Director of Atlantic Animal Hospitals. He purchased the Ormond Beach office in July 2005 and opened the Port Orange location in February 2010. Dr. Sukhija did his undergraduate studies at Indiana University and graduated in 1997. He attended Ross University and Purdue University Schools of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in 2001. Dr. Sukhija has been involved with many organizations including AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) and the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) since 1998. He served as Secretary/Treasurer on the AAHA Board of Directors from 2012 to 2014. Dr. Sukhija has been a member of the FVMA (Florida Veterinary Medical Association) since 2005, and the VFVMA (Volusia Flagler Veterinary Medical Association) since 2006, of which he is a Past President. He has also been on the Board of the CATalyst Council, a national organization charged with improving the care cats receive, and was also a Trustee for the AAHA Foundation
