Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Buchanan is a native Floridian who has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1984. She received her undergraduate degree and veterinary degree from The University of Florida (Go Gators!). She worked as an associate veterinarian in several practices before co-owning a cat hospital in Tampa. She eventually moved back over to the east coast. Dr. Buchanan worked here in Brevard county as a relief veterinarian while planning The Cat Doctor. "Dr. B.", as some call her, owns 14 cats! Seven of the lucky cats live at our clinic. She loves all animals, but has a special passion for cats! The Cat Doctor opened in March of 2004. Dr. Buchanan felt that a hospital just for cats would be her dream job. She thinks that cats are such unique creatures, which makes them interesting to work with. Needless to say, her dream job has become a reality
