Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Nick Gunter joined Central Animal Hospital in November 2015. Dr. Gunter will be working primarily at our Fourth Street location with Dr. Mark Brown. Dr. Gunter earned his undergraduate degree in Animal Science while minoring in Biology. After that, he graduated from the University of Tennessees College of Veterinary Medicine with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and went on to do a small animal medicine and surgery internship at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Gunter has a special interest in veterinary ophthalmology, ultrasonography, and internal medicine. He moved to St. Petersburg from his home state of Tennessee so he could live and work close to the beach. In his free time, Dr. Gunter enjoys traveling, cooking and going to the movies. He also plays the drums, guitar and piano and practices Judo and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He shares his home with his orange tabby cat named Oliver and his mixed breed dog named Charlie.
