Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Sutton joined Central Animal Hospital on Pinellas Point on April 20, 2015. She is a 2009 graduate of the University of Floridas College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Sutton is no stranger to Central Animal Hospital as she had gone through a veterinary student externship with us during the summer of 2008 prior to receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She is a native of Wooster, Ohio and moved to Florida to attend Eckerd College where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology with a minor in Environmental Policy. Dr. Sutton worked as a marine biologist for marine mammal and sea turtle strandings and rehabilitation at Mote Marine Laboratory from 2000-2005 prior to starting vet school. She so enjoyed this area with the sun, the beaches, and the water that surrounds Pinellas County that she decided to make Florida her permanent home. She is married to Geoff and they have a three year old daughter, Stella. They also share their home with three pets: Buffet, the Golden Retriever child, and Saki and Kirin, two devious Siamese-mix kitties. In her free time, Dr. Sutton enjoys boating, biking, spending time with family and friends, and laughing! Dr. Sutton is very excited to have the opportunity now to care for the pets in her community of south St. Petersburg and the beaches.
